Nail Tech Licensing & Shop placement, with CNE Institute
Welcome to Jaz Nail School! We are excited to provide you with the necessary information to enroll in our program. Please review the following details regarding the enrollment process, fees, and payment options.
I. Licensure Enrollment (Quarterly Licensure Courses)
-First Quarter Enrollment begins on January 1.
- Join us for an Open House on Saturday, January 25th 2025, at our Chesapeake location, (4217 Indian River Road Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23325) to complete the step by step process to begin your nail licensing education.

II. Licensing Fee and Enrollment Fee
- The licensing fee is $5,500
- To enroll, a fee of $500 is required. This fee saves your seat and covers your student kit, which includes necessary supplies and books.
III. Tuition Assistance and Grant Credit
- Tuition assistance is available for eligible students.
- Students who are paying out of pocket only are eligible to receive a $1500 grant credit courtesy of Jaz Care nonprofit organization.
- Reducing the remaining tuition amount to be is $3500.
IV. Financing Options and Payment Plan
- The remaining tuition amount to finance is $3500
- First installment is due by the first day of class
- Students can choose a payment plan weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
-Tuition must be paid in full by completion of course
- After completing the payments, students become eligible to move forward to the State Board and/or shop placement.
V. Shop Placement Process
- Shop Placement Program Procedure:
- Eligibility: Students who have completed the 150-hour licensure program will automatically be considered for the shop placement program.
-Application: Students interested in enrolling in the shop placement program alone must submit an application and pay a $150 fee.
-Evaluation: Once enrolled in the shop placement program, students will undergo an evaluation process. They will be assessed on their ability to perform basic shop services, including polishing, manicures, pedicures, full sets, and acrylic fill-ins.
-Skill Assessment: Students must demonstrate exceptional and satisfactory skills in performing the required services. This assessment will determine their readiness for placement in a shop.
-Referral to Shop: After proving their skill set, students will be referred to a shop where they will receive assistance with placement and setup. The shop will be selected based on the student's location and preferences.
-Repetitive 30-Day Strategy: Once placed in a shop, students will be given a repetitive 30-day strategy. This strategy will help them build their clientele and establish themselves as nail technicians in the shop.
-Mentorship: Students will receive a slight mentorship for one week before they are left to work as nail technicians independently. During this mentorship period, they will receive guidance and support from experienced professionals in the shop.
*Please note that the shop placement program is only available at no additional cost to students who have completed the 150-hour licensure program.
